How "Socially Savvy" Are Dutch Agencies? (part 4)
Thursday, February 25, 2010 by Jurgen Appelo
In this last post in our series we have a look at the individual
agencies. As described in the
first part, we emailed all 800 agencies in the
Adformatie database, and we asked them about their social media
activities. We combined the answers that we got with the random
sample of agencies we had researched ourselves.
For each agency we checked the number of social
channels, and to which depth these channels were used. For
example: publishing just one blog post in two months resulted in 1
point. But publishing more than 10 blog posts in 2 months resulted
in 3 points. We had a similar approach to Twitter grades and the amount
of content published to sites like YouTube and Flickr. Our
calculations resulted in a total number of points per agency.
In the following list you can find the end results of
the 48 "most socially savvy" agencies in our
research. Or at least, those willing to participate in it. :)
(Note: the top 5 results were already published in our
earlier
press release).
Some final remarks:
- Please refer to the
first part of this series to see why we could not include all
agencies or private social activities of individual employees.
- It is quite possible that we missed one or two social profiles
for various agencies. Many of them have no links to their social
profiles on their corporate pages, and some profiles are very hard
to find!
And we're sorry, but we do not discuss the results for any of
the individual agencies, and we will not publish the details of the
scores. We simply lack the time.
We hope you found our research interesting, and perhaps even
useful.
