The problem with social networks

The problem with social networks is that there's just too many of them. We did a bit of research last week, and we collected no less than 185 social networking sites! It's no wonder that businesses have a hard time figuring out how to deal with social media. Where to begin?

At Sociotoco we see it as our job to monitor and understand the social networking playing field. It is one of the reasons we created our spiffy looking Sociotoco Search tool. We need to know what the major players are, and how to work with them on behalf of our customers.

Sociotoco Search now covers 19 interesting social networks, which means we've covered about 10% of the players. It's going to take us a lot of time to get to 185, if we ever get there...

But, if you think we should give a higher priority to your favorite network, feel free to let us know. Some of us can easily be bribed with beer. Or chocolates.
